Ratings Summary
This campsite was a bit buggy but it was right on the Bull River. We watched a fledgling bald eagle in the process of leaving the nest. It was very entertaining to watch the parent eagles force the newby away from their nest and off to his/her own. The campground was not very busy, it was clean with a level site. A dump station was nearby for those chores. The Clark Fork river was next door and we were able to canoe on both rivers. The Montana fish were just as picky as their Idaho relatives and helped me continue the dry streak of no fish in the boat. There was a very convenient store down the road and a post office in Noxon nearby. We loved the quiet peaceful setting and beautiful Bull River.

I came along Bull River camp after a stormy night in the backcountry. Cute national forest camp; picturesque Montana sites along a river and in the forest. I was chilling in my tent, listening to the crickets just after sunset when the host came over. Warned me she had just scared off a black bear from her site and wanted to make sure my tent was food and fragrance free. Bless her heart!! After she left, I gathered my pad and bag and slept in the Jeep. THANK YOU MONTANA CAMP HOSTS!! Ps…simply perfect without cell service.
