“camping, hiking, and equestrian trails”
Ochee Yahola Park has camping, hiking trails and equestrian trails. The park is mostly woods. The timber is being managed for both wildlife and timber production. There is a large glacial hill and a prairie pothole in the center of the park. We have restored 23 acres of prairie but the diversity of plants is low. This was done back when prairie restoration was in its infancy. The park is open for archery hunting. When we close the park in November, it is then open to gun hunting. There are 4 campsites in the park with electricity, no water. Fees are $10 per night. Self registration.
