“take a journey to a bygone era”
Are you ready to take a journey back to a bygone era? Then visit the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum in northwest Indiana. HVRM offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience the sights, sounds and smells of railroading during its heydays. Visit the museum or take a train ride on an authentic caboose pulled by a vintage diesel locomotive. Centrally located and a short drive from several metropolitan areas, the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum offers you the unique opportunity to become immersed in the railroad history of northwest Indiana. You can explore our quaint depot filled with photos and artifacts. Walk our grounds and inspect various pieces of equipment on display and under restoration. Become amazed at the shear size of our massive C&O No. 2789 steam locomotive. The museum is open year round on Saturdays between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (Central Time).
