Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on January 30, 2020Lots of fun things for young children to do plus Yogi characters frequent planned activities. Our little grandsons had a blast. Campground is older but maintained sufficiently for age(see my note on poor sewer drainage) . Very easy access off Rt 87/the Northway. Easy to navigate thru campground. Some pull thru sites and wide enough roads to back in too. Gravel roads. Sites are very decent size, most under tall pine trees so watch for sap and sandy soil! We did have a negative experience with sewer hook up. Poor drainage and could back up quickly.(thank goodness we found this out just with grey water!) We told owner and he came with portable pump out which we appreciated and he did at no charge. By Monday after many campers had left it seemed to work better. Maybe sewer system can get over taxed when sites are full. Pools are heated, can get crowded on weekends, look a little time worn but fine and great on our 90 degree days. Mini golf course was fun but needs some repair. Bathrooms and showers clean. Garbage pick up at your site is a nice service. Store is well equipped for rv supplies, gifts and food essentials and of course yogi gear! . Limited snack bar is OK. Ice cream shop is good. Good selection of planned events for kids, not much for adults. Some activities are $. No hiking trails on site. Bike and pedal car rentals not operating during our stay over July 4th holiday due to too many small children in park according to notice. We were pleasantlysurprised how very quiet the campground was, we liked that a lot! Main playground was excellent, they have three playgrounds total. We purposefully booked corner site #46 so our 5 & 3yo grandsons could use playground on their own and we could watch from our site. They loved the six days we were there. We will go again. We loved having pool to ourselves after everyone left on Sunday afternoon!! Staff very friendly and helpful.

We called about a month in advance of our arrival and they only had three sites left. Finding the campground is easy, just off I-87 exit 29. Upon arrival the office was closed and a sign directed us to the camp store. We registered and found our site which is right across from the play ground. We easily backed onto our site with water, electric and sewer. I test the power at every park before hooking up and it tested fine. The interior roads are decent, our site was under pines trees so there are several exposed roots to trip on and we did, really the only thing that was bad was all the roots to trip over. There are two pools which are pretty good, camp store with a wide variety including fire wood, a small arcade with a scheduled events through out the day. The Schroon River runs along the campground and there are several water sites. The playground is nice but there are areas of concern, such as loose wood and screws sticking out. We paid to have Yogi come to our site and see our nephew before we left. The bathrooms/showers are in decent condition and everything seemed to work well. The campground was full when we were there, but really quiet, yes there were kids out playing, riding bikes and running around but it was not a crazy atmosphere as most kids were participating in the scheduled events. Hay wagon rides with Yogi and Cindy as well as Boo-boo. Cell reception was good and there is a gas station right down the road. Really no other stores or restaurants but there is a farmers market right down the road.
