Campbell Falls State Park Reserve is an undeveloped, publicly owned recreation area and nature preserve located in the town of Norfolk, Connecticut. The state park offers hiking, stream fishing, and views of the park's namesake waterfall which cascades nearly on the Whiting River just north of the Connecticut/Massachusetts state line. Legislation passed in 1923 and 1924 provided for the joint management of the park after the land was donated to the two states by the Whiting Memorial Foundation. A stone monument within the park marks the border between the states.
Beautiful falls. The picnic area may be Handicap EXCESSIBLE but not the actual falls. I am handicapped but do not need a walker or wheelchair. I did have a difficult time getting to the falls. The outhouse needs some Serious help. It’s not maintained at all. ( Disgusting actually ) the only thing that saves this place is if you make it to the falls it’s Great. If there are sign for a handicap entrance we did not see them. It would be nice if there were a few signs marking the Trail. There are parts of the trail that are very slippery so be prepared for them. And to get somewhat around those areas it’s can be difficult. Ps: there are two entrances one further up the road which we did find until Later. It’s a little closer to the falls but still should’ve been marked. To let you know.
