Frontera started out as the dream of a Georgia Tech graduate to bring the true food of his native Mexico to his adoptive city, Atlanta. It’s been more than twenty years since Norberto Sanchez used to hand out flyers from a street corner in a gorilla costume and a sombrero to invite customers into his new Mexican neighborhood restaurant. We like to call that “Gorilla marketing.” Fifteen neighborhoods later we have grown, but things haven’t really changed that much. You may have recently caught a glimpse of Norberto visiting your favorite Frontera Mex-Mex Grill, having dinner with his family or trying new recipes with his growing management team. You might have mistaken them with a group of friends and that’s the point: Norberto takes pride in running his company like a family. Many of the members in the staff have been with Frontera since the gorilla outfit days.
