Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on October 23, 2019There are a couple of trailers parked in Nipton and some permanent residents, but the campground is closed as are the restaurant and "Hotel California." According to gossip in Searchlight new owners attempted to create a "Burning Man" attraction only to be foiled by county. Town is for sale, according to sign on outskirts.

Our nightly rate reflects a Passport America discount of $17.50 plus tax.
This is one of the most interesting CGs we've ever stayed in, and while the camping is nothing special, everything else is. Our spot was level, pull-through, big rig friendly, and they gave us a couple to choose from. The utilities worked fine, but it's worth noting that there was not a breaker on the electrical box. Magical Nipton is located 10 miles off of Hwy 15, and offers a general store along with an excellent restaurant (great food, beer, & service).
There are huge art sculptures located throughout the property planted along side rental tepees and cottages. There is a regular train running through on the edge of the property, and it does run at night, though I didn't hear it from 9pm until 4am.
Verizon service worked well here.
