Natural Wonder
Our Take
Stradding the US-Canada border, Niagara Falls has long been a kitschy tourist destination, particularly for honeymooners, thanks to Napoleon Bonaparte's brother Jerome, who brought his new bride to the falls after their wedding. American and Bridal Veil Falls are on the US side, and the much larger Horseshoe Falls can be found on the Canadian side, and there are plenty of ways to experience the incredibly powerful falls (for reference, 681,750 gallons over the edge of Horseshoe Falls every second!) Take a ride on the Maid of the Mist (prepare to get wet), experience the Cave of the Winds (prepare to get VERY wet), or see it from above on the Whirlpool Aerocar (don't worry about getting wet.) And don't even think about attempting a trip over the falls, in a barrel or otherwise; it's super duper illegal and totally dangerous.
