The Breakers is the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages" and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family's social and financial preeminence in turn of the century America. Very beautiful house right along the cliff walk. But not sure if it was worth the $25 per adult. They do a self guided audio tour. My kids enjoyed it.
Amazing history and beautifully detailed mansion. Must see day trip, and give yourself time for the cliff walk after your tour
Fun, relaxing and educational with great ocean views.
Awesome ocean view!
Awesome place. Closed at 5pm so I'll have to come back again to tour the inside.
