“Traditional, sustainable bread makers”
Flour, water, salt and a leavening agent are all that is needed to make a type of food that has kept much of the world alive for thousands of years. While each region, village, and household over time has developed its own approach to fermentation and baking, bread has remained a common thread of humanity. Some things never change and we believe it is in the hands of the craftsman to make such a basic food extraordinary. Bien Cuit has developed relationships with local farmers in Dutchess County that continue to provide produce and animal products year-round. Dashing Star, Silamar and Willowbrook are just some of the farms that Bien Cuit partners with to get the best and freshest produce for sandwiches and other savory items sold at the retail store. From the Athena’s zucchini to the BLT’s lamb bacon, our friends upstate create an unparalleled product. Each vegetable, animal and fruit has been grown and raised by our farmers using precise and refined methods from developing specially blended feeds for livestock to rotating crops in a way that maximizes land use and focuses on taste. From start to finish, the journey our food takes to get to the customer is one that is carefully thought out and executed. As seen on Unique Sweets.
