“Each flavor tells a different story”
We make all of our ice cream from start to finish. That means we pasteurize (heat and rapidly cool) the milk, cream, sugar, and eggs together on site, which makes us a registered dairy plant. Most ice cream shops either buy a mix of these ingredients already pasteurized, or simply sell pre-made ice cream. Why is that important? First of all, it makes us unique. Ample Hills was the first to pasteurize on site in New York City and one of the few places that make ice cream this way. Secondly, because we control every aspect of the process, we can customize flavors unendingly: pretzel-infused ice cream, beer ice creams, salted caramel—the possibilities are ceaseless and the flavors are truly ours. Ample Hills was featured on Unique Sweets.
