“scenic, wooded site on the North Fork Maquoketa River”
This scenic, wooded site on the North Fork Maquoketa River is located about 5 miles north of Dyersville off Highway 136. This recreational area includes modern picnic, playground and camping facilities with accessible showers and restrooms. Softball fields and sand volleyball courts are located adjacent to the picnic areas. Picnic pavilions are available for rent. More than two miles of nature trail leads the hiker through the heavily forested portion of the park area, which is frequently used as a winter roosting site by Bald Eagles. A year round park attendant is in residence at this site.

Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on October 10, 2022This is a nice but small campground with about 30 sites. Most sites are along the creek are for tents or small trailers. There are six or so sites that a large rig could fit it. But since this is mostly a non-reserve park (70 percent) you have to get there early. Water and electricity are at the sites. There is a dump station. Has showers and bathrooms. Off the beaten path but just a few miles from Field of Dreams movie site. We would stay there again.
