We had some difficulty with GPS accurately guiding us to Meadows Campground and Coffeehouse turnoff; the RV Garmin led me to a no-where spot south of correct turn on US-61; following wife's GPS took her to a spot a mile north of correct turnoff - there is only one way into the campground. The check-in desk is at the coffeehouse serving bar; the staff was helpful and friendly. Their shop of specialty coffees and teas, with some food items (muffins, bagels, sandwiches) was nice. Campground roads and sites are crushed rock; there had been rain there the night prior so the non-gravel areas were soft. The sites closer to entrance were lower than the ones in the back. The campground is next to the Salt River, which is a nice venue for kayaking - no swimming though. Campground has several games for kids to do. OTA digital TV is poor; Wi-fi close to the Coffeehouse is excellent. The repeater is next to our site #6. There is some road noise from the close by US-61 highway, but that didn't bother us at night while our AC was running to mask it. Cellular service was excellent for us. Hosts/Owners are pet friendly, with several kittens around the coffeehouse, and rabbits on the property. There were a few long-term residents. There are tent sites, cabins, and some old-style outhouses too, along with the shower house with toilets, etc. The camp is less than ten miles to Hannibal, an easy drive to do the Mark Twain touristing, heavy duty shopping at typical chain stores, and with several good restaurants. If we return to the area again, we would also stop here again. Gas up in Hannibal though; cheaper than New London.

Turns out we were there several days before the coffee house opened for the season. The campgrounds are very clean and spacious. Great place to walk the doggo along the river. The many long term campers were pretty friendly. We stayed one night on our way to Tulsa.
