“Well known Turkish Restaurant”
Istanbul Café is a well-known Turkish Restaurant in the city of New Haven, Connecticut, and the Yale University community. Our sole cuisine and claim to fame Authentic Turkish food as New Haven's first and only Turkish cuisine. We opened in 1998 and we have steadily improved over the years. In 2001 Adnan Efe, who had worked in the kitchen as a chef since it opened, bought the place and made the restaurant more authentic and prettier. He wants to put the restaurant on a wider level to compete with similar restaurants in the greater New Haven area. Therefore in 2004, he sponsored and hired Bahar Durusoy as a business manager. Ms. Bahar is responsible for planning, marketing advertising, public relations, and to keep track of and replenish staff for our restaurant's success. Because we have well-established reputation and provide interesting menu in our restaurant. Mr. Efe selects the meats himself, prepares with special care, and marinates with special techniques. It is served instantly from the charcoal-grill presenting a clean and pleasant atmosphere.
