The staff is very friendly and the amenities are good but this is not one of the nicer KOAs that I’ve been to. If you can, get a site towards the back of the park near the water. Those are much nicer. The ones near the office are pretty bad. Sand, no landscaping, no parking pads and very crammed in. If they put some money into landscaping it would go a long way. There are quite a few permanent residents here but they were friendly and kept their sites tidy. The bathrooms were clean and the town of New Bern is cute for shopping and dining. The area surrounding the park is a bit industrial.
Cell speeds are good for the most part although Verizon seemed to get overloaded one day. I don’t know if that was a 1 off. Speed tested at 21 d/l for Verizon and 8 for ATT.
Good cable channels and no problems getting level.

This KOA received a lot of flood damage from the Hurricane Florence last year. However, it was to our benefit as a lot of the sites, office, and laundry room were done over. We really liked this campground as it’s right on the Neuse River. Clean adequate bathrooms, very vice laundry room, and super friendly and helpful staff. I was able to use the camp WiFi to work all day. Now granted, the campground almost emptied out in anticipation of yet another hurricane (Dorian), so WiFi wasn’t being used and abused.
Pool could be bigger as there were a lot of children when we first got there.
We would definitely come back again to this KOA

Extremely clean, lots are all gravel and appear to be mostly level. We were in space 24 and had a great view of the water. By the way, if you want water view without the high prices of the front row pull thrus, go for site 25 as it has a clear view of the river without any possible obstructions (disclaimer, probably can’t get much bigger than a 35-38’ rig in there).
Didn’t use the pool or other amenities but they appeared to be in great shape.
Average bandwidth speeds on Verizon from an unboosted IPhone 7 as a hotspot: 40mbps down, 20mbps up. Reception: consistently 3 bars

The nicest of three KOAs we stayed at during this trip. Provided good access to historic New Bern, NC. Facilities were clean.Sites while close were well furnished. Rain overnight rendered the roads a bit muddy. Lots of kids with plenty for them to do.

We enjoyed our stay here. We stayed for a month while working in the area. The park has beautiful views of the river and gorgeous sunsets. There is a playground and jump pad for the kids. There is a dock for boats with porch swings to sit and enjoy the sunset. They have 2 fishing ponds that are catch and release but you can keep what you catch from the boat dock on the river, you need a fishing license to fish from the boat dock. The sites are easy to get in and out of and decently level. The staff was friendly. The only negative was that Firewood is expensive for a very small bundle. They have propane fill on site and it was reasonably priced which was great. some of the pull through sites have grills and a cement patio and chairs. we would stay here again if we get the chance.

We traveled in a 38' Class A motorhome.
Getting to the campground was easy. Route 17 was a breeze. Navigating the interior roads was not a problem. Parking and setting up was easy. It was Halloween time, so there was plenty for the kids to do. The pier is a nice place to sit and relax by the river. The campground was very quiet, and we enjoyed our stay very much. The only suggestion would be to have a shuttle into downtown New Bern so we could have explored the town. (We didn't bring an extra vehicle with us.)

One Of The Most Peaceful KOA Stays. Right On The River And Super Quiet. The Sites Are Spaced Out Giving You Privacy. The Bathrooms Were Super Clean And Totally Private. Highly Recommend! The Staff That We Dealt With We’re All Very Friendly And Super Helpful. We Are In A Camper Van And It Was $40 A Night.

This park was a bit of a disappointment! For a KOA Holiday it’s sites were pretty tight and the roads and sites were nothing but dirt which turned to mud when it rained (which it did frequently while we were there). Our site was right next to a building which was all we had to look at when we were outside. There seemed to be a lot of people living there and sites were not well kept. The staff was friendly but didn’t go out of there way to do anything about the muddy roads.
