Ratings Summary
We just stopped here for a picnic lunch and short hike, didn't stay overnight and didn't try cell coverage. Balancing Rock is a boondocking site -- half-dozen fire rings around a rocky outcrop north of Dead Mountains. No tables, toilet or other amenities.about 10 minutes east of US95 over unimproved Cable Road, needs a high clearance vehicle, preferably 4WD to power through sandy stretches.
