Located near the Southern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway, Plott Balsam Overlook offers scenic views of the extensive Plott Balsam Range. This area was named for Henry Plott, a German immigrant’s son who bred the famous Plott Bear Hounds, which are prized for their stamina and alertness.
