Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on June 22, 2022I reserved this campground because it had good ratings, price in my budget, and on my route. I had a good experience with Jody at the office who led me to my site. It turns out I had stayed here a couple years ago during a heavy rain storm. This time the weather was dry and sunny. Water and electricity were easy to access and there is a dump on the main entrance road. There are many full-time campers here, but all campsites are clean and well-maintained. The full-timers have fairly permanent decks, pergolas, and porches. Must be a fun place in the summer. The campground was very quiet both times I have camped here. They take only cash or check for payment.

Just a couple of miles of of I70 in southern Illinois. Primarily a seasonal long term campground with some pull-through sites for short term/stopover campers. Very well run with great service. Our site fee included a Passport America discount - cash only.

On the phone Jody told me they only take cash and it would be exactly $26. I had the cash ready when I arrived and she showed me to my site. No idea what the number was but it was next to a playground area. No kids were playing there. One or two trains went by in the middle of the night but otherwise very quiet.
Easy to get to off I-70.

GPS had a field day taking me all over the country roads.
Once I checked in, it was cash only. I knew that but it was $30, no longer $26.
No cable, and WiFi didn’t reach my spot. I ask about a spot and WiFi and Judy said, we don’t have that. I’ll refund your money and you can move on. I should have but I was tired. I did not find her friendly at all. Will not return here!

Nice place for a one night stay. Away from the highway and quiet. Mostly permanent residents but pull throughs are in front. Very nice people.

Beautifully maintained campground with two nice playground areas. Peaceful and quiet with plenty of room for big rigs towing vehicles. Owners are super nice and accommodating!
