It's much closer to the park, only 1 mile from the park entrance by mile marker 152. It's heavenly treed and a gorgeous natural setting. It's not big rig friendly. Over 25 ft you'll have trouble getting a site. Water and power available on some sites. A bargain at $32 this close to Glacier National Park. Nice washroom facilities and laundry. A great onsite breakfast cafe is open Wednesday to Sunday 😎👍👍👍👍🇱🇷
( price reflects the discounted 1 week stay) We stayed here June and really enjoyed this campground. It is located right outside of the West Glacier Park Entrance and has one of the best rates in the area with hookups. The campground is heavily wooded, offering privacy and a nice forest setting. The bathrooms and laundry area were clean, and there is also a small restaurant located on the property that serves dinner. We noticed a couple of bigger spots that held Class A or conversion busses. The campground main roads can be hilly and while we had no trouble, I think its worth mentioning. The staff is really friendly and care about finding the right spot for your needs, just let them know what you are looking for. We had no trouble getting Verizon service and there is free wifi down at the office.

This is an RV park in the thick woods, to the point that at times it seems you have the park to yourself. It is close to Glacier National Park. The staff is friendly and the park is clean.
The biggest problem is that there is no way to make reservations very far ahead, they are totally unreachable in the winter and spring. This means that you either have to make a reservation somewhere else before it fills up, or wait until the last minute and hope you can get into this one. There has to be a better way. We are skipping it this year for that reason. We are traveling with another family and can't risk getting locked out.
was INCREDIBLE!! We were nestled in the forest at the top of the hill in a lush green cacoon; it was like living in the Emerald City in the Wizard of Oz. And the owners were amazing! When our toad died on the vine, they came up the hill with an enormous battery charger, charged our battery up and helped us on our way!
We cannot recommend this campground highly enough! Even the mosquitoes aren't as big as the ones in Minnesota!! And, if you like dogs, bring a big bone for Otis, The Wonder Dog.
Thanks for everything; we'll be back next time we're in the area.

Glacier Campground is really convenient to Glacier National Park's west entrance. We stayed in two different spots. The first was really challenging to get into, and was essentially right on top of the neighbor with no trees in between. We also had issues with the fuse blowing several times at this site. I would not recommend site F11. However, site H9 had more space and privacy, and no fuse issues. The campground has a decent laundry facility and nice showers. The restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch on site is separate from the campground and delicious! Foodie delicious. The campground had some cute cottages that they also rented and there were some tent campers too. It had much more personality than your typical RV park, especially given the woods in which it was nestled. There is wifi at the restaurant and in the campground lobby area.

This campground is my fall back when I am unable to get a campsite IN Glacier Park. The sites are located in a wooded area on a hill. Most of the sites are extremely unlevel so be sure to have lots of leveling blocks at your disposal. The sites are packed pretty close together so privacy is minimal. The bathrooms are conveniently located throughout the camp and are cleaned daily. They are a little on the outdated side and could use a remodel but they are adequate. The staff will pick up any garbage you have in the morning, you just leave the bagged trash along the road and they will drive by and pick it up - since the area is frequented by bears this practice is a little strange to me and having central dumpsters available for trash would make more sense. Tables and fire rings are in each campsite. There are water taps throughout the camp as well. Some sites have electric service if you want to pay extra for it. All in all a decent camp.
The biggest drawback to camping here is the noise. Traffic along Highway 2 can be loud at night. And there are train tracks just beyond the highway that see a lot of traffic as well - nothing like a train horn blaring at 3am to get your attention.
The camp does take reservations for large groups and it may be worth asking who all is camping that night before you commit to staying here. The camp staff doesn't enforce any sort of curfew or quiet hours so when large groups are camping here it can get pretty rowdy.
Biggest bonus to the camp is that even if you are not a registered guest you can use the shower facilities for a small fee - $5 - just stop in at the office and they'll give you a pass for the showers.

Excellent owners! Older camp that needs updating. Had low pressure water issues. Camp kept very clean. Sites were a little tight to get into. Overall a good place to camp. Less than 2 miles from Glacier National Park.

Tried to camp in the park and all was full. Stopped at a park in West Glacier that wanted $107-$117. NOT! This park is conveniently 1.5 miles down the road. Sign indicated full, but we were feeling lucky. The office staff were friendly and helpful and found us a site. They are up front about water pressure issues in this section. Not an issue for us. The camp is nicely wooded. Roads are pretty busy and lots of dust. The cafe onsite was really good. Open for breakfast and lunch.

We arrived earlier than expected to the area so we needed to find a spot for a few nights. This was perfect for us. The price reflects a pull over site with electric only. They have a dump station with potable water so that was fine. 3 bars of Verizon, however, it was very spotty. Facilities were ok, could use a facelift but again it’s a great find so close to Glacier and the people were great!!
There are trains with horns but that’s pretty common. The Amtrak also goes by. Pretty cool.

My original plans were to camp at Two Medicine with family and friends: enter the September blizzard that Buried Glacier National Park. 2 days before my planned arrival, the NPS announced the closure of Two Medicine and the strong recommendation not to camp at St. Mary's.
Based on the recommendation of a local, we checked out Glacier Campground. The owners are great people and they welcomed us, even though they were trying to close up for the season.
The sites are large, wooded, and private. This is a more park-like experience than many NPS campgrounds where I have stayed.
We could hear the noise from the adjacent property, which is an event venue type of place, but it was more humorous than anything.
You are a very short drive to the park from this campground and have easy access to Kallispel. I had strong Verizon, here and wifi is available close to the camp office.
