Cons: can be very crowded by day use and fellow campers. Some people don’t clean up their trash.
Note: there are three places that do not have trees on the shoreline. Those are boat ramps. Don't park in front of them.
Overall, a great spot on the way to Seward!

Hidden.... blink and you’ll miss the turn. Open space right on the lake. Gets a bit windy at times.

A large Boondocking pulloff just off the highway north of Moose Lake. Can handle a dozen big rigs easily. There were 9 others when we were here. Rock fire pits and plenty of room. Great cell signal.

The entrance is not marked (the pin is correct, near MM 30, before a guardrail if heading south, after the guardrail if heading north). Large open area with a couple of back in sites in the trees. It was pretty busy, but ample room to find a great spot back in the trees.
"Boat launch"/water access in a few areas, no restrooms, relatively clean except toilet paper, a short paved path to Moose Pass, excellent Verizon service.

This Is An Absolutely Gorgeous Place To Stay. We Stayed Here in Our 33 Foot Fifth Wheel For A Couple Of Nights. We Parked Close To The Lake And Watch The Planes As They Took Off And Landed On The Lake. It Was Cool Outside And Drizzling Rain On And Off. Our T-Mobile Signal Was Great At 3 To 4 Bars.

Got here around 10pm. I was the only one there for the night. The campground was clean, quiet, and felt safe. Got limited cell service. They did have a pit to make a fire which was nice. The lake is absolutely beautiful and it was awesome to wake up to such great views. All in all a great free place to park for the night. I’d definitely stay here again!

Parking area is mostly wide open lot with a few secluded area tucked to the side, including a couple that would be flood for tents. A couple campers seem to be here for longer term Paved path near entrance goes nearly mile down to a lodge, and there is an unmarked path/animal trail that goes out along lake.
No services at all, but you can’t beat free, especially with this scenery.

First the place is hard to find.. no sign per say.. lt at the 30 MM heading north from Seward at the end of guard rail on lake side of road. Coming south at MM 31.8 start slowing and look for the back of a speed limit sign on left and white marker at end of guard rail.. It looks like an abandoned car road but when you turn in you see the lake and WOW..
We arrived on a thru around noon and it was already 12 rigs here.. Its a big area for sure right on the lake that planes have landed and taken off from.
The highway is RIGHT there so during the day it's a bit loud. this in on a slower turn on the road so you get truck slowing down using exhaust brake and the accelerating the other side.
Also float planes can fly over sorta low to land on lake.. the do flightseeing tours out of moose pass airport.. the train comes by as well but not during the night.. at night it super quiet san the quietest generator or dog barking for no fricken reason.. :(
On the google maps view it appears the area is shaped like a horse shoe but it not.. the are is solid all the way to the mouth area.. if you look on sat view it got snow and the algorithm deduces the snow is on the water so it show the land as water.. all i can figure.. :)
my ATT/Cricket was around 5 down and the T mobile was around 45 down. not sure how as there is no actual t mobile towers in alaska. Roaming on GCI..
when you come down the entrance slight hill, the left side is good for solar and the right side is good for shade..
I was out walking and found a nice paved path that appears to go all the way to moose pass.. it's on the left side of parking area nearish the lake when looking at road if you meander around you will find it.. it seem good for bike but in some places a lot of brush was in way..
One of the locals said they ride to moose pass from there no problem.. sounds like a neat little town but for the time we were there it frickin rained.
