Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on April 27, 2024Stayed here for 3 nights in mid October in a W/E buddy site. The park was pretty empty so we had the whole site to ourselves and were able to enjoy the lovely grounds. Had we been here during a packed summer weekend our site would have been miserably tight and awkward to access. Would recommend paying the extra $10 for a FHU site which were conventionally arranged. WiFi worked well and the people are friendly. About 30 min to the shore and SP nearby for hiking.

I have concluded that there are two types of campgrounds: parking lots and parks. Parking lot campgrounds emphasize ease of placement of RVs and parks are, well, park-like settings. Both can be nice, but if you're expecting one and get the other, it could create some angst. That said, this was a very nice version of a parking lot campground. We were only there for one night for our annual shake-down trip, but I'd go back. Very easy access and you follow gravel roads to your sites. Most of the sites I saw -- including mine -- were rather level pull-through sights. Our utilities were on a podium just off the gravel parking site. There was a grassy strip with a picnic table and a fire ring between our parking area and the next one. Unlike some "parking lot-style campgrounds," it was wide enough to sit comfortably at the picnic table and we probably could have even set up our pop-up canopy had we been there longer. During our trip, the campground was sparsely populated, but midseason on a weekend, my guess is that the place could be hopping -- and that would change the feeling of the campground. Bathrooms were clean, well-lit and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were told when we arrived that cell service in the area was poor but that they had just installed wifi. We were able to stream movies and use our cell phones for email and, when we developed a problem with our Norcold refrigerator, search the web for solutions. We camped in our T@b 400 travel trailer, but there were several large Class A motorhomes there.

They have no on line reservation system they want you to call. Not efficient. After three follow up phone calls we never received the correct reservation confirmation. There is no cable or Internet. The prices seem high without these amenities. The grounds are strange. They have many beautiful spaces with virtually no neighbors then a brunch crammed together just big enough for a 40 camper if everyone has parked right.
We were there on a night from hell. They apparently rented out one cabin and then allowed the rest of the area to be over run by tents. These ‘campers’ drank to excess got louder until well after midnight and allowed their dogs to all run lose. No one from the campground did anything. When we complained the next morning the owner barely apologized.
My wife and I, our daughter, son in law and granddaughter cut our stay in half. Despicable. I only gave three stars because of the property.

We loved this little campground! Beautiful views, out the bustle of a city. The owners are very welcoming and supportive.
Beautiful, smaller campground with a pool on the hill, basketball courts, outdoor pavilion, arcade, helpful camp store, and wonderful staff! We stayed during tropical storm Isaiah and lost power our second night, which was unfortunate. However, a woman gave our kids ice cream and couldn’t have been accommodating. I love small campgrounds with a view and this one is wonderful!
