Wikstom Manor was purchased by Tony and Evalyn Surprenant in 1967 where they raised their 9 children. We now invite you to stay with us and share the quiet charm of country living only 45 minutes away from Chicago's culture and nightlife. Located in the heart of an old border town which is situated along the Kankakee River. Designed and built by A. E. Wikstrom in 1892, it was known at that time as the Villa Swea and used as a gathering place for visiting Swedish dignitaries, diplomats and local socialites. This Swedish style home has a large wrap-around porch with wicker furnishings. 45 minutes from Chicago.
