Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on July 23, 2023This is a fairly typical ACE campground located on a spit of land in a bend of the Missouri River just across from Mobridge (a good place for groceries and fuel) on the east side of the river. Only a few campers were here considering it is the middle of the week after Labor Day weekend. Nicely laid out, lots of shade trees and well maintained grassy areas between all the campsites with picnic tables and fire rings. Showers, flush toilets, playground, boat launch, dispersed trash cans, a basic sanitary station with water at the entrance, and a nearby convenience store make this a good all-purpose campground. Long-term sites are available. The casino is further west on Hwy 12 - this is a real campground, not a casino parking lot. If you are sensitive to road noise, even though my site was farthest from the road, I still heard the highway traffic while outside.

It looks like it might be a COE campground but it is NOT. This is owned and run the local Indian reservation with their casino up the hill. This place has larger lots but many have low hanging tree branches for my 5th wheel. We had to move sites due to branches and the staff was helpful. Many on the east loop have very sloped spots what would be challenging to get anything but a pop-up level. We had 50amp and water hydrants were around to fill up. This will always be known to me as the "alien abduction" campground. There were maybe 25 rigs in the campground. All but 5 were unoccupied the entire time we were there. Campers, boats, 4 wheelers, grills, chairs around the campers... and no one for the whole time we were there. But what was there were locals who would come in and take over a campsite and have a picnic, gathering or just shoot fireworks and leave hours later, forgetting to take their trash. No one close to use and no safety concerns but another odd thing about here. We will not stop here next time

Don't know why they changed our site and don't care; we got a nicer site anyway but they lied to me about it which was really pathetic. Anyway we had a good level electric site. The water was right behind us so we had water. Picked up Verizon and Dish satellite no problem. All the sites seem specious with lots of green space around for all the family reunions going on for the holiday weekend. Quiet walkable park and riverfront. The bathrooms were clean. Trash was all over the ground though and I noticed the young men going around picking up trash bags from the barrels and going right over or around the trash on the ground!!! I would hope they had more pride in their park/workplace then that. So nice park that we would stay at if in the area but it is NOT a COE park,

I paid the 'over 55 years old' discounted daily at $15! Power pedestal on site for 20/30/50 amp service. No sewer at site, so there's a dump station in the park. Water isn't adjacent to site but reachable with one hose. Drinkable water is also available at the dump station. The road to access your site is barely room to maneuver your truck and trailer into your spot. But, you can drive onto the grass that's a bit lower than your site, at least my site. There's also a small casino outside and down the street from the park.

I connected to the 30 AMP connector, and I filled my fresh water tanks and ran off my water pump. They have a spigot usually between the sites, but not all. The dump station allows for two sessions at the same time, and it has drinkable water as the sign states. The staff keeps the CG very well, checking trash cans every several hours. There's a gas station (regular and premium, no Diesel) and mini-mart. No propane filling or exchanges, but a mile or two, there are several businesses that will exchange propane tanks. I'll be back, especially at the senior discounted rate!
There are bathrooms, but no showers or laundry services.
