Welcome to Como Lake Bed & Breakfast overlooking beautiful Como Lake, just 3½ miles from downtown St. Paul and 9 miles from downtown Minneapolis. Located in a quiet residential area, the house is on Como Park bike and walking paths. Nearby attractions include Como Zoo, Como Conservatory,Como Park Golf Course, the Minnesota State Fairgrounds and eighteen universities and colleges. Built in 1915, the Craftsman-style home has hardwood floors and oak trim throughout with built-in buffets and bookcases on the main floor. An open staircase descends into the Inglenook room where the original occupant was married. A big front porch is perfect for morning coffee, afternoon tea or an evening sit to watch the lake birdlife or sunset. The Aerie Suite on the 3rd floor is almost 800 square feet. Ten skylights provide abundant natural light. The private bedroom overlooks the lake. The sitting room has a kitchenette area with sink, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. A separate "library" has a small table and 4 chairs and can be used as an office, reading room or sewing room. The bedroom is furnished with a king-sized bed and chaise lounge and the sitting room has a futon couch. The roomy private bath has both a shower and two-person whirlpool bath.
