Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on June 29, 2023Camped 8/22/19 to 8/25/ 19 and it was very busy. Cheryl, the camp host was extremely kind and helpful. I’m kind of shocked that this campground has yet to be reviewed because it is really nice. Set on the shores of the Minong Flowage-a beautiful body of water- many sites are right on the water. Most are not very level, but that is a small price to pay to be on a stunning rolling shoreline. Electric only, but water fill ups through park. Great play area and fishing peir. Clean bathrooms with showers that were 25 cents per 3 minutes— very clean! An awesome fish cleaning house, which sadly I had no use for. Easy dump station. I can’t wait to go back!

The park has two sections, the older section that I camped in back in the 70's and a newer section that was constructed more recently. In the older section almost all of the sites are right on the lake with some great views and space to beach your boat. The only downside is that things are quite tight and the roads are narrow. But once you get in and have your chairs facing the lake, you'll forget about all of that. It's more roomy in the newer section but fewer sites have lakefront. But those that do are spectacular.
While there is a small playground, the activity at this park revolves around the lake. Whether boating, swimming at the small beach, or fishing from the dock, it's all about the lake.

The place was almost completely full on a Wednesday, I was lucky to get a spot at 2:30 pm which makes me question their FCFS policy. I was even luckier, that I found a site that was relatively level. There are three sections to this park although you might not know it because the signage was…lacking to say the least. I didn’t even see the newer campground (first road on the left as you are pulling into the park) because nothing indicated there was anything up there. The map on the official website doesn’t show the new campground at all.
A good number of the sites are seriously unlevel, some to the point that it would be impossible to put an RV of any kind in them (number 3 for example). There are shared pedestals which aren’t horrible in and of themselves except that it often works for one site and not the other. I watched a guy cramp his trailer into a tiny area of a large site because it was the only way he was going to be able to hook up to electricity.
Take a number if you have to go to the bathroom, because they are far and few between. You’ll be able to find them though, follow the stench.
Bring your own hose to fill with water at the dump station.
Verizon had a good signal, which helped me to find another campground.

We stayed in the new section. We had site #89 it was pull thru full hook up. It was a very nice site mostly level. The bathrooms were clean, pay showers, good sized sites, pet and family friendly, and quiet
