Owner and Chef, George Callos, has been pleasing patrons with breakfast, lunch and dinner for the past thirty five years. The Island Cafe offers an impressive menu, featuring complete dinners, burgers, hot and cold sandwiches, a super salad bar, specialty salads, vegetarian dishes, daily low-carb specials, excellent soups. All in Downtown Minocqua. Flavoring the menu with the touch of his heritage, George presents an irresestible selection of Greek dishes. While any menu choice is sure to delight you, we highly recommend that you consider the homemade Greek entrees. Try a Gyro. It's fantastic, and also healthy. George seasons the beef perfectly with his own special recipe, than serves it with his own cucumber sauce (Tzatziki).
