Had a nice quiet walk on the trail. Want to bike the trail someday end to end.
If traveling through Ohio's Amish country and sharing space with bicycles, buggies and abundant wildlife sounds like an idyllic day to you, then you will enjoy the 15-mile Holmes County Trail. A good place to start is the trail's Hipp Station trailhead in Millersburg, which features the beautifully restored Millersburg train depot.
The Holmes County Trail is also a vital component of the Ohio to Erie Trail. The planned 320-mile route, of which over 240 miles are complete and open for use, will eventually span Ohio from the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland to the Ohio River in Cincinnati.
Length: 15 miles
Trail end points: Fredericksburg Elementary School on W. Clay St. (Fredericksburg) to N. Main St. (Killbuck)
