“the oldest park in the district”
Antioch Park is Johnson County Park and Recreation District’s oldest park. Purchased in 1956 and opened in 1958, the park was rededicated in 2005 following infrastructure improvements, facility upgrades and lake and wetland enhancements. The forty four acre park features new or updated amenities such as two fishing lakes, walking path, tennis courts, picnic shelters, basketball courts, restrooms, playground, paved parking, and cook out grills. Antioch Park has remained one of JCPRD’s most popular parks, attracting up to 700,000 visitors each year.
