Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on August 03, 2019We planned to meet up with friends at beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee in Meredith, NH. This was the closest campground so we gave it a shot.
Calling ahead for reservations we were told there was a two night minimum. OK, must be a great park, right? Upon pulling in we were less than over joyed, but already committed due to paying $90 up front. The park is located on a busy thoroughfare although the road noise was not too evident, we did experience difficulty in dashing out of the park between racing cars.
Site was wooded, access not the easiest to maneuver with a 30' Airstream booty. Laundry room had six machines, one down for repairs. Restrooms were very clean. There is a $5 deposit for key card to access park; $20 deposit for cable set up, if desired. This park is filled with "Do Not..." signs, my guess is they have had problems in the past, but it was tiring to see so many signs.
There are 'seasonals' here, as in most eastern campgrounds we've visited. The park does a mediocre job in keeping the transients (us) apart from seasonals (them) as there is a mix of the two at the transient end (up front).
While Meredith is a great village to visit, I would not camp here again as there are a few other parks in the general vicinity to try out. By the way, the two night minimum? There were only four transients in 20 sites and really no reason for the two night minimum but to double their revenue.

We arrived during the week and it was very quiet. Our last night was a Friday and the campground was full that night. We are retired so we were just looking for a quiet getaway. There are no planned activities, but there are two playgrounds and a pool. The bathrooms were spotless. Lots of things to do in the area. Close to the lake and restaurants. Check in was easy and the people were very nice. Good cable TV.

We came there as a group and they were very accomodating, sites were fine, no noise at all. We did see some black bears.

Very nice campground in the woods. Location is great for exploring White Mountains, Lake Winnipausakee and Squam Lake. Owner is super nice and takes great care of Campground. We were towing a trailer with our RV and had a backin site and the Owner towed the trailer to the site for us with a tractor. We will definitely stay here again!
Very nice campground in the trees. Close to downtown Meredith. Lots of seasonal campers with nicely maintained spaces. Need to book ahead. Would definitely stay here again.
