“Family run alpaca farm that offers tours to meet the alpacas and a small store with items made from alpaca fiber.”
Nestled in the mountains of the outskirts of Abingdon,VA in Meadowview,VA is our little piece of heaven that we share with approximately fifty alpacas. We are open to visitors who are welcome to meet and greet these beautiful creatures. Come and experience what can be created from their luxurious fiber at Dreamland Alpacas. All while admiring their gentle nature. This is an opportunity that can be enjoyed by young and old. We have established a farm store on our property. We have many items available for sale that have been produced from the fiber of our alpacas. Some of the items available include socks, hats, gloves, scarves, sweaters, yarn, roving and raw fiber just to name a few. Our inventory is always expanding. Items can be custom made in the style and color of your choice. Open Daily noon - 7pm [ Closed Tuesdays] We are also at the Abingdon Farmers Market on Tuesdays Saturdays #Kissedbyalpaca #alpacasocks #abingdon #buylocal #mistletoe #girlsnightout
Mrs Debbie was so sweet and hospitable, and graciously answered all my kids’ questions. We loved meeting and feeding the alpacas and other animals, and the shop was lovely, as well. TOTALLY worth a stop!
My wife and I stopped there on our yearly road trip. We could not have been happier with the experience we had while here. David and Debbie were gracious hosts and took the time to answer all of our questions. You can tell they take great care of their animals and are passionate about what they do. We had a blast feeding and interacting with all of their alpacas. We picked up a couple of hand made goodies out of their shop as well. If you're in the area it's definitely a stop to make.
A lovely stop only minutes from our VA-to-TN road trip route with welcoming animals, friendly and helpful owners, and an easy to find, outdoor setting. The uber soft clothes, toys and gifts in the family store ranged from luxurious to adorable. A great addition to our road trip!
Sign on the fence said Closed Until Further Notice. We drove three hours based on the info on the FaceBook page and website 😥
This was a great stop off on our way through Virginia. Close stop off the highway. We got to feed the alpacas, hold a chicken, and a 1 week old baby sheep! Our 11 year old boy loved it. Debbie, the owner was super informative. We even purchased a few items from her store. Worth a stop!!
BEST TRIP EVER!!! Definitely worth drive, we would come again in a heartbeat! Alpaca your bags for you!
David and Debbie McLeish own an Alpaca Farm with about 50 alpacas housed just behind their house. About 20 minutes before I was to arrive at the farm, I called the phone number listed on their site, and David answered it. I asked him if my group of three could stop by and see the alpacas. He said we could, and he was very welcoming. He even came to meet us at the post office because we had difficulties getting to the farm due to a google maps error. We spent about an hour at the farm meeting all of the female alpacas (e.g. Toasty, Mimosa, Pumpkin, Gem) and feeding them. We then made some awesome purchases at their gift shop. It was an awesome stop!
Had a wonderful time. Owner loved her animals and taught us a lot about Alpacas.
What a wonderful experience. Beautiful animals, Debra was wonderful and explained so much. I am so happy for the experience.
Very friendly people. Patient with the millions of pictures I wanted to take. Lovely shop :)
