Sites are pretty level but roads need attention ( lots of ruts) WiFi spotty. A few tv channels. Cell phone good. Gated with pass to open gate. Seems like a lot of people stay for the season. Discount if you stay a week.

We seemed to be the only humans in this campground last night (9/22), even though the place was full of unoccupied rigs. Zombie camping?? The resident host was very, very nice, and that is the ONLY reason I even gave this place 2 stars. The women’s bathroom absolutely reeked of mouse urine! 🤢 The pay (.25) showers were really complicated to activate. As other reviewer stated, the roads were pretty rough. Pool closed for the season. Paid $7.50 for green firewood.

We stayed here for 4 nights in early October, 2022. Finding reasonable camping is hard in Maine. It's expensive! We paid $52 & change for water & electric, but they did have a dump station. Dump station is awkward to get to - on a slope, but it worked. Sites are dirt with lots of tree roots. Our site was wonky to get in to - hard to back our 22' trailer over the tree roots, but it was pretty. These sites are not waterfront (kind of looked like that online) and it was a muddy, pot holey walk down to the water. The dog beach is about 4' wide. As we were there the end of season, the dock was pulled out of the water, pool closed etc, but there is nice walking and people were friendly. I would say 3/4 of the place are seasonal campers - the ones that were there were having fun!
Cons - expensive, dirt sites, tree roots, not lakeside sites / views
Pros - staff was super nice, nice walking trails, lots of trees, pretty
We would camp there again, but grab the site to the N of us - the one our trailer door faced.
4 stars because site was a bit awkward & dump station was too.
And $$$ - but that is Maine & New England!

It was a very rainy weekend! Because of this, it was tarp City! Because it was a holiday weekend, it was packed!! The sites are very close together. We were at the bottom of the hill at an electric/water site abutting the lake (fenced off so you couldn’t walk to it or see it because vegetation and trees are maintained). The two bathroom facilities were uphill and not close, so we didn’t use them. My neighbors decided not to use them either and I woke up to seeing used toilet paper on the ground—my side I might add! They were tenting. We walked to the lake (mud was deep in sections of the road) to the dock and small access to the lake. Had it been sunny, I’m sure that small area would have been packed! There are tenters along that road, and I did not see any bathroom facilities nearby. We used the dump station and even with a 17’, it was tight as it is at the end of a junction road. The roads are narrow and I don’t know what we would have done if we met another when leaving. Just backing in was tight for us. Seemed to be a lot of full-timers in areas and they were tightly stacked in. We didn’t spend a lot of time there since it was an ATV trip (have to trailer since Poland is not ATV friendly).

Quiet! Wooded sites! We loved our stay here.
In our pop up camper, we've stayed at a lot of RV Parks and often felt like we were at a massive tailgate party rather than a campground. Poland Spring actually felt like a campground. There is so much greenery and the sites are very spacious. There's lake access, a pool, laundry facility, a game room and camp store and two separate camp ground bath houses. We will be coming back!
