Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 05, 2018This KOA is mostly inhabited by long term vacationers, but there’s a few RV sites that change hands as well as tent sites that can support a van or a small pop up. The KOA allows alcohol at your campsite but not at public places. Downtown Portland is about 35 minutes away. Overall, I found the amenities very clean and in great working order (and since most people shower in their RVs - no lines!) and felt very safe here.
This campground is an excellent location to Portland, Brunswick, Freeport and coastal activities.
It has easy pull thru with spacious sites, friendly staff, a nice pool. playground and large dog park.
For the cons, there is no cable tv, the sewer hookups are on a hill so you're trying to dump uphill. It's really a bad design.
The road into the campground is dirt and has a lot of pot holes. They try to keep it graded but it gets full of pot holes very quickly. They need to pave the road in. Roads inside the campground are the same.
There's not a lot of landscaping or anything that makes this park very appealing. We've stayed in a lot of KOAs over the years and this one is really towards the bottom when it comes to facilities and aesthetics. They are cutting corners and it shows even down to something as silly as the thinnest toilet paper I've ever experienced in the bathrooms. For the price, I would try another park in the area if I'm back this way.
I didn't try their wifi. We used our Verizon and ATT hotspots and used a booster for better speeds. W/out booster Verizon was 20d/1.35U, ATT was 2.52d/.67U. With booster Verizon was 43d/3.18U and ATT was 12D/1U. OTA channels were pretty good, major stations and others came in well.
We used a laundromat in Brunswick (Sunshine Center) which was very clean, dryers worked well. Avg pricing.

There were plenty of open spots here and this locations was central to everything we wanted to do while in Maine. We were there for a week and had an amazing time. Its in a very rural setting and not convenient to groceries around the corner.
