Had an excellent stay at this campground and enjoyed the surrounding area. The area may not provide many activities for youngsters but we loved the peace and quiet. The sites were well spaced and clean. Some sewers were located in odd places but that was not a big issue.

Though "newbies" to RV camping we thought the staff very friendly and helpful. Because the electrical connection was at the front of the site, and our cord didn't reach, the campground loaned us a second one. Our site was quiet and wooded but with lots of hungry mosquitoes. Our Clam screen room helped us to enjoy the outdoors. Firewood was already placed at the site. Stonington harbor, just a mile away, was quintessential Maine--picturesque with tall ships and lobster boats working and some quaint shops. We enjoyed lunch on the deck overlooking the harbor at Stonecutters. Our only complaints about our stay was that there was no wifi signal at our site (though we expected it and were given a password) and that zero TV channels could be received after scanning. Still, a very pleasant and relaxing experience.

Fantastic campground to just get away. Very quiet and peaceful with lots of areas to roam around and get into nature without ever having to leave the campground; just what we were looking for. Deer Isle is pretty isolated without a lot of "attraction" type activities, but a perfect place to get some peace and quiet.
Spaces are well spread out and clean.
Utility connections may be in odd locations and vary per site, but they're completely doable.
Water pressure is a little lacking, but again doable and the water quality is pretty darn good.

We loved our stay here. We were at site 8 and it was large enough for our 33 ft motorhome and surrounded by trees and shade. There weren’t many campers here in late May before the season really starts up and we enjoyed that.
The new owners are wonderful, attentive and friendly. They are doing improvements to the grounds that will be nice when finished. Our sewer was in an odd spot (ended up under our RV), but that’s something they said they plan on fixing in the future. It wasn’t a dealbreaker and didn’t cause us any headaches.
Deer Isle and Stonington are just beautiful and picture perfect Maine. Small grocery store not far from campground, good restaurants and a few nice hiking areas. Highly recommend a visit to the Holbrook Sanctuary Preserve not too far away for some nice hikes and scenery.
It was a great place to stay out of the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor, but easily accessible to many of the small towns and areas on the coast. Visit ‘There’s a Treat’ food shack for some tasty lobster rolls and other treats too!

We stayed from June 21 - June 27 on site PT. The campground was immaculate and quiet. The owners Monica and Troy are amazing. Once word gets out about this gem in Stonington, it will most likely be hard to get a site.
Must visit locations are Sand Beach, Harbor Cafe and Stonington Ice Cream. Take time to sit and watch the harbor. It’s very relaxing.
Our biggest complaint, nothing to do with the campground, is driving through Blue Hill on, I believe, 15/176. The road is slanted and full of “filled/repaired” pot holes. It will jar your trailer to the core. This is about 3 miles long. Otherwise the perfect getaway.

We are newbies on the road. Troy was very helpful to move us to a full hook up site when one became available. Quiet and super clean facilities. We biked from the campground to town and explored the coastal area.

The facilities are very clean; the hosts are going out of their way to accommodate their visitors. Showers are cleaned daily, restrooms are well-stocked with cleaning products. Utility sink for washing dishes was a big plus. Camp wood is $5. Best sites for a smaller camper or tents are N-S. RV sites U11-U14 are in full sun and with zero privacy. Speaking of privacy, a couple (or more) were having intense, exhibitionist sex in one of the U tent sites, and the acoustics in the campground proved to be excellent. Good thing our kids were asleep...but not everyone else, it seemed. Not the management's fault, of course. Overall our stay was a very nice experience in one of Maine's nicest places. T-Mobile/AT&T service was spotty, for those who care.
This is a wonderful campground with sites with lots of privacy. We stayed for a month and were very happy with our stay. The amenities are all well done, limited in scope. The result is a quiet atmosphere. Troy and his wife (the owners) are very friendly and helpful. Our AT&T reception was fine for streaming, internet access and calls. We did not use the laundry facilities and showers but they were clean and welcoming. And it is pet friendly. Located near Stonington, it is near the harbor, restaurants, a sand beach and the ferry to Isle au Haut. Opportunities for Kayaking, SUP’s and hiking abound here on a quiet island. Stonington has some great restaurants and is a quaint fishing village. The harbor is beautiful. And it is not far from busier areas like Blue Hill, Brooklin, Castine and a one hour ride from Mount Desert Island. What we enjoyed most on Deer Isle was the lack of crowds and many places to just sit and enjoy the views.

Highly Recommended!! Terrific Down East Maine experience. Greenlaw's is a great spot to launch your Down East adventures. We loved our level, roomy, heavily shaded campsite. This is not a large campground and it appears most sites are very private. The new owners (2 years- super friendly and accommodating) have made some significant improvements - the bath house is convenient, clean and very functional. The location is extremely convenient to Stonington (3 min) and Deer Isle (10 min). The grounds are heavily wooded, we saw many deer and a fox! I look forward to staying at Greenlaw's again. We camped at Greenlaw's RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer. You're in rural Maine, and the Verizon signal isn't the strongest - the owners have a great Wifi signal you can use near their work shed.
