This park is off a busy highway just outside of Madison so traffic noise is a constant. The campground itself was fairly quiet and the hosts were accommodating. I wouldn't consider this campground as a camping experience, but for the price and location, it simply can't be beat for its accessibility to all Madison has to offer. Only about 50 minutes from the Wisconsin Dells and a little further than that to Milwaukee. Both easy interstate drives.
A simple layout with a central road and 25 spots laid out on either side of the road. Certainly ample space and reasonable privacy. Most spots have good shade although we didn't have much shade in #13. In every other spot, you would have to run your electric cord under the camper to get to the pedestal, but not too far away.
A dump station and fresh water fill is located in a circle at the end of the campground road where there is also a decently clean shower building with restrooms. About a quarter mile beyond that building is a boat ramp with access to the lake.
All in all, a great place to stay if exploring Madison or if a day trip to the Dells or Milwaukee is on your agenda.

The location is convenient for visiting Madison, and if you have a boat it has nice access to the water. But half of the sites back up to Hwy 51 where you get the pleasure of hearing semi trucks, dump trucks and general traffic going 50 mph all day and all night long just feet from your head.
Possibly the most noisy campground we’ve ever stayed in, and we’re on the road half the year and have seen some really noisy places.

I was only looking for a place to spend the night without being too far from Madison or staying in a hotel. This site fit the bill, though it is a bit noisy from nearby traffic. Since I didn’t pack any gear for cooking, having a family restaurant, subway, Culver’s, gas station/convenience stores and a local breakfast place within walking distance was a nice bonus. There were a bunch of geese living there wandering the campgrounds and although they are nice to watch, you need to watch your step or you might accidentally step in geese poop. They could do a better job of cleaning up the driveways and walking paths.

Great place as we were on our way north. Nothing fancy, but it was clean and there was plenty of space. Nice showers and easy access.
