“insane roller coaster”
VIDEO: Click on the picture above to see insane first-person video of what it's like to ride The Banshee.
With a whopping seven inversions along 4,124 feet of track, The Banshee at Ohio's Kings Island now holds the record for the world’s longest inverted coaster, and it's also the most expensive project in Kings Island history. We were lucky enough to take a spin on the Banshee, so trust us when we say this ride is crazy (and that you better tie your shoes nice and tight first).
The length record has stood for over a decade and a half, mostly because parks pretty much stopped building inverted track coasters in the 2000s. While the track design itself may be considered “retro” (Are we really calling the 90s retro now? We object.) there are also a few other nods to the past such as the Banshee flying by tombstones bearing the names of KI coasters of the past: Son of Beast, Screamin’ Demon, King Cobra, and the Bat. - Roadtrippers
