Confirmed by 5 users | Last reported on July 25, 2021Just six miles off the highway at Martin City. Three miles is a fairly dusty, washboard gravel road. The campground has about 20 gravel pads, mostly level. There are a few sites right on the lake, but you would have to be lucky to get one of those. You cam make reservations for about half the sites, the other half are walk-in. There are a few well maintained vault toilets and one water spigot with potable water.

I reserved a campsite at the Emery Bay Campground in conjunction with my visit to Glacier National Park. It's about a 30 minute drive to the West Glacier entrance to the park and requires traveling some dusty, unpaved roads. However, it's a nice, quiet campground in the forest. If you're planning to spend some time boating or paddling on Hungry Horse Reservoir, this may be the perfect location.
The campground offers picnic tables and fire rings at each site, pit toilets and potable water spigots. There are also dumpsters for trash. Many of the sites offer privacy, although some are more closely situated. I noticed many mid-sized RVs/rigs, so access isn't a huge issue.
Nothing fancy, but a solid and enjoyable campground.

We stayed here 1 night while we jockeyed for a spot in Apgar. If we weren’t trying for that we would have stayed the whole week very happily. Our spot had a great view of the lake. The host is very nice and runs a clean ship.
If you drive about 5 miles down the gravel road you can get good enough Verizon signal to make calls and check emails.

Visiting Montana in the heat of summer and driving down logging roads that have not seen rain in forever equals a dusty experience..... but it also cuts down on crowds and thus this spot is very private and peaceful once you get there. We arrived on a Sunday so the weekend crowds had likely disappeared and that may have affected the feel here. 26 campsites and some are first come first serve! We arrived on a Sunday evening with no reservation and while we could not get a waterfront site, site #9 was good for us. Private & roomy, some sun for solar, trees for shade, and even had a good hammock tree! There is a group site here too. A short walk away was the boat launch and other areas to get to the water, our dog had a blast diving off the rocks.

Didn’t stay due to no availability. It is down a 3 mile dirt washboard road with some potholes. Potholes can be avoided if you stay below 10mph. Road is 2 car widths wide.
Site were very close, if you have asthma or breathing issues the campfires may be an issue. No hookups. Potable Water is trucked in so No filling. come with rig already full.
Looked clean. Great if can get spot on lake.

Nice place, some really beautiful spots, some just ok. Road not too bad to get there, much slower pulling a trailer. Spots for all size trailers dependent on the spot.
Disperse camping just up the road if that is your cup of tea.

We stayed here 7/12-7-15. The road in is why I gave it only 4 stars. Very washboarded and some logging trucks. Campground was full while we stayed, but never felt crowded. Great privacy between sites and sites are well spread out. The hosts came by daily to clean and restock the vault toilets. Site 19 had good shade, but also a good view of the sky for portable solar.

We were in spot one and even with possible traffic coming in it was very quiet. The pit toilets were by far the cleanest we have EVER experienced. Will hopefully be able to stay again! No cell service with Verizon.
