Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on March 06, 2021There are three campgrounds here. One is more open and smaller. We stayed at Cedar and it is the main camping area. It has a lot of trees to keep you cool in the hot summer. Power is available at most sites. They have canoes and paddle boats to rent at the lake. They were fun for an afternoon activity. There is also a clubhouse with board names and snacks. Would definitely stay here again!

Silver Lake Park has three camping areas. We stayed in the Maple Creek campground which has 35 sites with water and electric and 12 “tent” sites without hookups. We ended up in tent site and it was more than adequate for our 33 foot MH. Many of the spaces were large enough to accommodate any size rig. Although the road through the campground is paved it can be a bit tight as it winds through the huge cedars and firs that fill the park.
Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. The sites were large and well spaced with vegetation between them for privacy. Several huge grassy areas near the campsites to run the puppers too. There are water spigots scattered through the campground and vault toilets. There is a dump station with fresh water.
The trails through the woods are just beautiful – green, green, green. Silver Lake isn’t huge, but you can fish and spend a couple hours paddling around it. There is a public swimming area with a bathhouse and showers at the lake, but it was none too clean when I checked it. The campground “office” is located at the Lodge.
Note: No hook up sites are $25/night, but there was also a $13 reservation fee which seems a bit steep.
The park is located about 30 miles from Bellingham where you can find all the shopping, restaurant and services you need. There are smaller towns closer than that for the basics too. The only downside we found was the total lack of Verizon cell service – nothing, nada, zip.

What beautiful sites!! They are paved, spacious, and treed. Oh how wonderful!! We're definitely going to be going back each year. You would not believe the thought that has been put into these sites: Composite picnic tables, level paved driveways throughout the campground, & paved sites. The firepit is a work of wonder allowing for some spectacular cooking. No sewer at site but it's at the campground entrance and easily accessible. We had our pop-up tent and there were two 120V outlets on the post which gave us plenty of power. We had friends and family in close sites and both were wonderful. We cannot wait to go back!!!
If you're coming from Canada, make sure to find your grocery store before getting to the campground as there's really nothing close by except a gas station a bit south. Prices in the nearby stores aren't as low as you'd find at Walmart or other chain stores. The reason this campground didn't get full stars is because they have VAULT TOILETS! I had never seen such a thing and they were a tad scary but my Granddaughter accompanied me each time so I wasn't as scared as I could've been. There was a new building being made ready but I'm not sure what it houses. Fingers crossed it has some flush toilets!!!

Looked like a really nice facility when we pulled in. But all night long people pulled in and out using facilities and making noise. Left trash. The county needs to step up patrolling. Had we known this place catered to tweakers we’d have rolled on. Wish I could get my money back.
