Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on October 20, 2023Campground opened the beginning of July, everything is super clean, staff was great. Construction was going on during our stay but we were ok with it, you could see how much they want to make everything perfect. Office, rec center, playground and pool are all new. Paved driveways throughout which is great for kids that want to ride bikes or just to walk on. Would 10/10 stay there again!

Staff very friendly! Premium sites are spacious. Great cell service for our AT&T phones and strong Wi-Fi signal. Pool and spa are great for relaxing. We will be back again!

Madison Vines is a hidden gem. They have been renovating this campground for almost three years, and all the facilities are brand new. They are still finishing up the landscaping and some of the other amenities (dog park, basketball / badminton / pickleball courts). But their pool, bath houses, and recreation center were all brand new and fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly. They had a lot of activities planned. However, the rain got in the way, but we still had a great time. There is a brewery, winery, and German restaurant all close by. There is also close to so great hiking in the Shenandoah Mountains, as well as Skyline Drive. Already made our reservations for our next stay!

We stayed 4 nights visiting friends, touring Shenandoah NP, Monticello. Recent renovation, nice facilities. Gated entrance. Quiet camp.
Entrance from Eastbound Route 26 a little tricky, as divided highway negates a direct left turn in. One option is a U-Turn about 200 yards east of the entrance. There has got to be a better solution.

We found this one on Campendium and booked it as it was close to a mountain bike race at Woodberry Forest. We had read the reviews saying this was a new campground. When we arrived everything had that new campground feel to it, but the staff functioned like they had been running this campground for years. Our kids enjoyed Halloween festivities and we enjoyed the campground a lot. We will definitely be back and will bring friends next time.

The park was easy to find. It is located about 2.5 miles south west of the village of Madison. It is not convenient to access if one is traveling from the south on Rt 29. You will need to make a U Turn and head south to access the entrance There is pavement all the way including in the park. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly and informative. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are newly paved, big rig friendly. This park was previously known as Shenandoah Hills. It has been upgraded and rebranded. It is still under construction in some areas. Grass has not been fully established but in a short time we feel it will be a gem.
Our site, 710, was a graveled back in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp, water, sewer and cable) were to the left side. Distancing is close in our section. The more deluxe areas were well spaced and most had a vegetation privacy barrier. Each site has a table and a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was well laid out, clean well manicured.
There park included wifi worked well as did the cable TV. We did not search for any OTA channels. Satellite might be difficult in some sections. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them new and clean. They are individual unisex complete with shower.
Even this late in the season there were planned activities for campers The pool and some of the other amenities were closed for the season.
There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be an good overnighter. We paid $41.20 inc tax per night and we feel we received good value. We will be back if in the area again.

Super friendly staff! The pool was perfect to swim in. The park offered a spaghetti dinner one night, the next night they smoked ribs, and the following morning was a pancake breakfast. I had family stay in a cottage here while I stayed in my RV and the cottage was also super nice. Definitely recommend!

We stopped for two nights to visit Monticello. The campground worked well. We had good Wi-Fi and Verizon cell service. I work remotely. Sites do have sewer. Check-in was easy. I would stay here again to explore more of the area. Sites are a bit close but given it wasn’t booked solid, we had only one near neighbor and still enjoyed trees and squirrels.

Very clean and manicured lawns. Lots of trees and it is very well kept. Full hook ups. Easy access off the highway. Lots of space in between the sites. Easy and helpful check in. It was a little spendy, but you have to pay for quality. No nearby railroad tracks! Would we stay here again? Absolutely.
