Who knew back in 1916, when James Mallis opened the first Nu-Way Weiner stand on Cotton Avenue in Macon, Georgia, that he had created a chili dog that would become an eating obsession? The original store with its neon sign is still in operation today, continuing to serve the same secret recipe chili sauce and private label weiners. We invite you to try our famous hot dogs at our nine locations in Central Georgia and experience the traditional taste of Nu-Way. Nu-Way is perhaps the finest purveyor of the regional 'slaw dog.' The slaw dog comes in many different varieties. It is not uncommon to come across BBQ slaw, chili slaw, and cole slaw, but people generally agree that the finely chopped, sweet mayo slaw is the most authentic variation.
