“spacious & beautiful camping areas”
Sunsetview Farm Camping Area was started in 1970 by Harold and Lillian Carpenter. We are still family owned and operated today. Second generation owners Robin Carpenter, Carol Carpenter, and Lisa Adams invite you come and enjoy our family’s hospitality. The land that is now Sunsetview Farm Camping Area was originally a dairy farm and apple orchard owned and operated by the Carpenter family. The land still retains the warmth and welcome of the old farm and orchard. Our office is even housed in the original family home dated 1799! Our campground is known for our friendly and enthusiastic staff, and for having lots of family friendly activities. Every year people compliment us on our cleanliness, outstanding customer service, and variety of campsites. We offer every preference from wooded tent sites that have water and electric to large pull through sites available with 50 amp service for large rigs, and seasonal campsites that are spacious and beautiful.

Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on September 01, 2017This is a fairly large campground which looks like it has lots of activities during the summer for the many seasonal visitors (playground, pond, pavilion, etc.) We were there just before they closed for the season so it was fairly empty (lots of trailers, few people). The campground is located pretty far from most interesting areas, but for us it was a nice and fairly convenient place to stay while visiting Six Flags and The Big E. There's a pretty nice supermarket in town just a couple miles away. Most of the campground is heavily wooded with steep hills that would be challenging for any RV, but the central areas for short-term visitors camp were fairly open and level. Our pull-through site (end of the row) was very nice and larger-than-average, but others looked more average. The WiFi didn't work for us, but AT&T and Verizon worked fine even though we had a weak signal (2 bars) for each. There were plenty of places to walk our dog inside the campground, including a large grassy field near the entrance. The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We'd very likely stay here again if returning to the Springfield area in the future. Big rigs should follow the directions on their web site rather than GPS directions.

Okay not really more than any other park, but definitely lots of seasonals with a lot to display in their yards. The kids loved this place though, they thought there was a lot to see and explore. There is a manmade beach pond and medium sized pool that were pretty chilly in late August.
Friendly staff! If you like flea markets or antiques, there are tons of places nearby!
They charge extra if you have kids. Because you know, it's camping.

Great for an overnight. A bit off the beaten path, but no road noise.

Off the beaten path for sure – about 13 miles from I-90. There is a bridge under construction at the moment so you may have to take a longer route to get here depending on which direction you are coming from. They have specific instructions on their website. Coming from the east, the roads through Sturbridge are very rutted. Brimfield is slightly better. There are overhanging branches on Town Farm road, and we snagged a couple. The check-in was quick and easy; however, they do not supply a map or give you any information about the campground. The interior roads are mostly dirt with some gravel. They are narrow and challenging for big rigs. The RV sites are situated in all directions so it looks a bit disheveled. The transient sites have dirt/grass/mud and some have a smattering of gravel. The seasonal/permanent sites (which occupy most of the spaces) have more gravel. To get into our site, we had to drive up an incline to a flatter area which barely had enough room to get all our tires on it. We were towing a vehicle which remained on the incline. Our rig was leaning towards the driver’s side but the levelers were able to do their job. There was a large square dirt area outside our door where apparently someone had placed a rug for a long time. Our bedroom window looked right out onto the porch of the park model that was backed up to ours. Getting out of our site was interesting as we had to make a tight turn. Luckily, no one was in the sites(plural!) across from us because we imposed heavily on them. Satellite would work in some sites. I don’t know if they have cable or not. Verizon was 5g 2 bars or 4g 3 bars; however, our hot spots acted wonky. Trains can be heard off in the distance but they aren’t intrusive. It is very quiet at night so there’s that. FYI - They charge $6 extra a night for 50 amp and $3.50 transaction fee. Pretty high priced for what you get. Just did not tickle our fancy so we won’t be back.

The camp is a bit tired but not where it matters. The staff was very friendly about all things. The sites are neither small nor large. We were in site 65 which allowed our driver and passenger slides out and then an extra 20 feet of front yard before the split rail site boundary fence with bushes. The site was within 1 degree of level front to back and perfect side to side. There are many seasonal sites interspersed with us transients.

I posted a review earlier on this site and that was a mistake, I’m so sorry
This place looked like something out of a Freddy Krueger movie. It is not kept up at all. Pretty deserted and creepy. The photo on this ad looks nothing like this place. The gentleman that helped us was very friendly. Our sewer when we went to drain overflowed onto the ground. The bathrooms which we did not go and look like the doors were falling off.
Roads were difficult to drive. Pay for showers. Bathrooms were very dated but clean. Many resident RV homes.
