“Cute...or creepy?”

Stories abound of how a herd of some 30 wooden and plastic rocking horses gradually appeared on a sliver of farmland in the town of Lincoln....“It’s a spontaneous art production,” Pingeon said of the dreamlike scene. Pingeon and his wife, Elizabeth Graver, who own the small parcel, have taken a hands-off approach since the first one showed up. Like many in town, they don’t want to know where the others came from. That’s part of the charm of the display. “Other people started leaving them, and we just didn’t want to know. There was something lovely about it being anonymous, and now every time we go away, another one appears,” Graver said.

A place or oddity like this exists in Tehachapi Ca. on Hwy 202 near Schot rd. there are about 30 horses, but they are smaller. The lady that owns the property has an antique store in town and I was telling her about it and she replied, yea, thats my property. She said it started all by its self. Then people just started adding horses over the years. They often blow over because we have high winds here. Some one, not her, stands them up after wind storms. Oddly these things just stay there, no one steals them.
The area here is quite amazing, California Poppy fields, snow, and thousands of wind generators about 200' tall. As well for the train enthusiasts there is the Tehachapi Railroad loop! The road to that starts next to the horse field.
No, I do not work for the Chamber of Commerce, I just love my town.

Enjoyed my trip to PonyHenge last Sunday. This tiny spot in Lincoln is super fun to visit. Thank you to the owner who allows this mystical parade of ponies to graze on his land for all to view and enjoy!

Disappointed! Went last year and fell in love. Returned this year to find it surrounded by flag markers to prevent you from parking. Along with signs asking you to not park in front of field. Why let someone use the field if others can’t enjoy it 😕

I have been there a couple times to use as a back drop to some of my photo shoots. I have 4 children and all them had Rocking Horses. Some of them hand downs from older siblings and one was my sons very special horse. That was his security blanket. I thought about dropping it off there, but, decided to keep it for his children some day.
I am so glad that the owners don't mind it. It is truly a time capsule and a keep sake for those who drop them off.
Thank you to the Graver's

Pretty neat stop, we liked that it was free and unexpected. You get to drive through a beautiful little town and its in the middle of a farm with goats and piggys.

Drive down Old Sudbury Road towards Wayland and you should find the delightfully bizarro herd of ponies in a field.
