Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on August 21, 2020We spent 3 nights here as school was starting, so it was pretty quiet. It has got to be tight when full. If someone would have been next to us, I would have felt claustrophobic. Not to mention their sewage drain was within feet of our table. The bathrooms are clean. The top bathroom is toilet stalls and showers separated. The bottom is toilet and shower in one room. Which essentially locks up the toilets in the bottom section if it’s a busy time of day. Not a fan of this idea. Mostly Rv’s when we were there, but I am sure there are a lot of tent campers in the summer. It’s very close to the Allegheny National Forest. There are total about 20 toilets combined in a pretty large park. There is a very nice swimming pool. It is outside of the campsite area. Down a short path is an ice cream shop. A camp store has everything in case you forgot something. The only shopping is in Clarion. A place on the side of the road on the way in had a great deal on firewood. This campground is in Cook Forest. Wildlife and Nature abound. The spots are flat. Pretty much all trees, dappled sun. No golf carts, or at least none while we were there. Lots of seasonal campers, but we spoke with many and they were all nice. I will go back, but not during prime time.

Campground Name: Kalyumet
Location: Lucinda, PA
Overall Campground Rating (1-5): 3
Maneuverability*: We had no problems however larger rigs in the first row might have problems getting out due to a sharp right turn by the gate.
Campground Notes: I thought the campground was nice but a little overpriced. Many amenities are an additional charge (mini-golf, arcade, etc.). Uses a gate card instead of access code to enter. Gate card didn’t work one day which was annoying. All sites have good shade. Campground was quiet at night, even when it was full on an event weekend. This is a super family-friendly campground.
Site #: 15
Site Rating (1-5): 5
Site Notes: Our back-in site was very long and could fit a rig of any size or you could stayed hitched up if just overnighting. Before we arrived we were notified to bring two water hoses which we had and were indeed needed. We had full hookups with 50 amp electrical service. Site had a nice, wood picnic table and fire pit.
Amenity Rating (1-5): 4
Amenity Notes: Pool looked really nice but we didn’t use it. Many varied activities but other than the pool, all activities at “Fore Fun” cost extra. A few activities like laser tag & ball pit were closed due to Covid-19. Wi-Fi was unusable; devices constantly lost connection. We didn’t need to use the laundry so we didn’t look into it.
Reason for camping here: To visit Coolspring Power Museum (~30 minutes away)
Miscellaneous Notes: Campground near many touristy activities like go-karts and horseback riding. Cook Forrest is also very close. If visiting Coolspring Power Museum I would recommend skipping this campground and just boondocking at museum (full Verizon service @ museum).
Dates Stayed: 8/14-17/2020 (paid due to 18th but left due to no internet service, no refunds allowed by manager)
Price Paid: $252 (63/night)
Weather: Highs in upper 70s, sunny
Verizon Cell Quality**: Very low signal, hotspot had 1 bar with antenna while cell phones had no service. 1.45Mb/s down, 0.04Mb/s up
Mail: N/A
* For reference we are pulling a 33’ long Jayco travel trailer with a 2016 F350 Crew Cab Short Bed 4x4 which is 22’ with hitch giving us a total length of 55’.
**For reference we have two Google Pixel 2 XL on Verizon ‘Play More” unlimited data plans. For data we have an Inseego 8800L on Verizon’s expired prepaid unlimited hotspot plan. In areas of low signal we use a Netgear 6000450 MIMO antenna. Measurements are taken using the “Multi” test on Speedtest by Ookla.
