Ratings Summary
I did not stay overnight on this trip as I was just scouting out new places to go but I will definitely be checking back.
The camp is currently being upgraded with new pit toilets, fire rings and tables. Some of the sites are still a work in progress as of June 2023 so I'm not sure the full extent of the work being done. I'm hoping maybe some dirt work too to add some gravel to the muddy parking pads. The road was pretty muddy and had some deep potholes but it is passable - we've had a lot of rain recently so maybe a bad first impression there.
Easy access to the Blackfoot River and day use only sites for picnic-ers and fishermen.
Biggest negative to the camp is the mosquitoes - I was swarmed almost as soon as I got out of my truck. I'm hoping they'll not a as much of a problem later this summer.
Camp is currently free but with the remodel I wouldn't be surprised if fees are charged in the future.
