Wanted to stay close to Pensacola and picked this site because it is a KOA. Our site was gravel, and dirt, between two trees, and very, very close to the other sites. Our site was right behind CR99, and traffic noise was horrible. The campground has a pool, clubhouse, game room, playground, and a fishing pier with boat ramp. The campground is right on Perdido Bay, and close to beaches, and golf courses. Our site had a picnic table on a concrete slab, but no Fire ring. There is Wi-Fi, but it's so spotty, I actually used my Verizon hot spot since the service was great. This campground is good for emergency stops.

Campground is showing its age. Most sites need additional gravel to cover the dirt drive. Common areas are mostly nice. Staff is friendly. Basic cable is provided. Internet seemed intermittent and slow. Shower stalls have worn, corroded fixtures. At least one is missing ceramic tile. We thought we received a complimentary site upgrade because the RV site we thought we reserved online wasn’t available when we checked in (we were told we needed to telephone to guarantee our site selection in addition to making a paid online reservation). We later noticed an additional charge on our credit card. A number of RVers seem to be living full-time at this KOA.

Our visit was in January and almost every spot was full. Level spots, no concrete and full hook-ups. It was a little noisy since the spots were close together and full. Easily walk to the beach and dogs are allowed on beach too. The folks here are very nice and did everything to make our arrival and set-up smooth. They also have two separate dog runs and a playground for the kiddos. Close to Orange Beach and Gulf Shores for shopping too.

Not a bad KOA but as we have been full-timing since August we see a big difference between KOA Journeys.
This is not a bad KOA it just needs some TLC. It’s a bit outdated (the playground looks like it’s from the 1960’s) and the sites are strangely spaced. The staff is very nice though and they mentioned the park has some planned upgrades like a new, heated pool.

Felt Safe: Yes
Nicely maintained for a place that seems a bit older. We had to have maintenance come to our site when we got here because our pedestal wasn't putting out power. They came within minutes. Even in light rain, replaced the breaker so that we had power.
Sites: We had a grass site with a wood platform patio.
Quiet: Very peaceful.
Convenient: Right off of the main road (not much traffic)
Sites: A bit tight but some have privacy bushes which is nice.
Food: Decent pizza literally a 4 minute walk from our site.
Gas: Circle K with Diesel 5 minutes down the road.

Our pull-through site right next to the office was not level; we used only 1 block to get level. The road is paved and sites are gravel. They accepted packages in the office, which we appreciate. The park extends down to the bay and has a dock. The sunrises were beautiful. Lots of trees. There’s no road or train noise! Cell service good.

This is the worst KOA I've ever stayed in. It was dark when I arrived and was told by the camp host someone would come and escort me to my sight. I waited but know one showed up so I had to drive around in the dark (poor outdoor lighting) to find my sight. Gravel and sand site, unpleasant. I couldn't use the dog park because the sign said it was closed at sun set which on this date was around 5PM. :(
Won't ever stay at this KOA again.
