Cape May-Lewes Ferry | Lewes Terminal

What a fun experience! We arrived very early, before the previous ferry had left and they did get a few vehicles from our time slot on the earlier ferry (good for them! We had to wait for our original time slot but were first on and off so that was also very nice). Not much to do at the dock if you're just hanging around, but they do have a good size patio you can hang outside and just watch the water and boats going by. The food at Grain on The Rocks was quite good, we just got a couple appetizers while we waited.

On the ferry, there were restrooms and plenty of seating both inside and on multiple decks. Snacks, drinks, and souvenirs sold on board. Definitely something fun to do at least once.

AMAZING experience...never been on a ferry in my life and I am so glad I decided to go a longer distance to get this bucket list item checked off!! The captain let us know about small things, even a nest with babies just off the dock as we left the port. Beautiful way to see the Atlantic for the first time :) I would tell anyone going along the east coast...this is not something to pass up!!
