Timberline Lake Park

We needed a spot along I-90 for a one night stay across upstate New York. This was an easy to access option.

Mostly permanent and seasonal campers, the park has a section along the highway for over-nighters with FHUs. Most have 30/50 amp and are surprisingly level although they look slopped.

Definite road noise, but the park is otherwise quiet. Pool, laundry, restrooms we didn't use. Small play ground and lots of grass and trees.

No park WiFi. Open skies for satellite.

Reserve online. The office is very unorganized, and the site they sent us to was already occupied. Still, very nice owners and the park is well maintained.

Owner was very helpful, and got me into a spot last minute for a stop over. Site was big enough and my starlink worked great. Only downside is we backed up to the freeway so a little road noise, but was drowned out by the AC fan. Also, water pressure was low, so just filled my tank and used water pump. Definitely recommend having an extension cord for electric and long water hose as those hookups may be on opposite side. Sewer hookup was still on service side. Huge playground/common area, and plenty of room to back in a bigger rig.

We called while traveling east on the NY thruway and left a message — but got no response. We decided to pull in anyway to find out that the phone had been forwarded off site (management seemed a bit chaotic). They had several empty pull through sites. The sites are very close to the freeway and quite noisy. Good enough for a stopover but not a destination in our experience.
