“south seas exotica & modern primitivism”
Frankie's Tiki Room is a unique combination of south seas exotica and modern primitivism, with just a hint of Las Vegas kitsch. One hundred percent original and deeply rooted in tiki tradition, Frankie's is the place where you can escape to the fantasy any hour of the day or night. Where you can order up your buzz from the menu of exotic rum drinks in the tiki lounge, or enjoy traditional cocktails while gambling at the bar in classic Las Vegas style.
This little bar is packed full of charm with Tahitian carvings and island art adorning every nook and cranny. We nested into a darkened corner and used the little red candle on our table to read the elaborate menu full of traditional Tiki cocktails and many new original ones too - recipe book on sale at bar. Every drink is the same price, $9 or $25 if you want the souvenir Tiki mug to take home. Cocktails have a number of skulls next to them indicating the alcohol load. I got a 5 skull drink and my husband ordered a 3 skull. Both came is a large glass with fruit and classic stir stick and both were wonderful. We ended up at the bar to play the poker machines. Very fun and definitely THE PLACE to get your Tiki on.
I highly recommend venturing to Frankie's. The drinks are a bit expensive, but the experience is worth it!
This place is fucking awesome. Though it's really a local bar, it's totally rad to hit up if you're just in town visiting. Super awesome bar staff, great drinks and a vibe that you just can't beat in Vegas. Kids aren't allowed, but that's obviously to be expected. I recommend getting a cab here cause you're probably gonna wanna drink a lot and totally kick back, and you definitely won't want to worry about driving back to your hotel.
I love Frankie's. The drinks are amazing, and a bargain (especially if you're coming from the strip). The crew really know their stuff.
All kinds of custom artwork, carvings, bamboo work, prints, it's brilliant. Cool and dark, an oasis in the desert.
Note: like many places in Vegas, smoking is permitted. While they have good air handling, if you are sensitive to smoke you may want to go when it isn't crowded.
Drinks were good and the bar was interesting!
