“Desert RV Camp in Nevada”

Las Vegas RV camping is about more than just nightlife and stage productions; it's about experiencing the desert in a new and exciting way. Shaded by oak and manzanita trees, our RV camp in Nevada offers a peaceful preserve and a dramatic contrast to "The Strip" just six miles away. When you choose our Las Vegas RV Camp in southern Nevada, you will enjoy returning to this quiet retreat after visiting the "Entertainment Capital of the World". If you're up for a different form of recreation, you'll appreciate the "natural highs" of the mountains, cliffs and valleys that surround the Las Vegas RV camping grounds. Lake Mead is a popular spot for fishing, swimming and water skiing, and the famous Hoover Dam offers public tours and scenic viewpoints just a few miles away from our RV camp in Nevada's gorgeous desert region.

This is one of the best thousand trails we've been to. The sites are gravel & level. The staff assigned us a spacious spot that we liked.

The campground is close to Boulder Station casino. The prime rib dip sandwich in the Boulder Station Grand Cafe is yummy!

Getting to the strip was easy I took the fwy right to the Las Vegas strip. I got off the fwy on Tropicana and parked at the Excalibur casino. Then we walked to New York-New York Casino for a Greenberg's Deli sandwich called the Italian Stallion ...its always excellent.

The staff & campers have been friendly to us. Some campers offered to play Mexican train with us in the activities center but we had other commitments that evening. What a friendly bunch of campers here!

I enjoyed The Great Grackles at the campsite along with our walks around the campground in the mornings or evenings.

We had a 14 day free stay so the price was perfect! But I can't say that I'd actually pay the fee to stay here. Not much to do except park in a gravel lot. The pool was unfortunately closed due to a downed tree. The bathrooms seemed to get cleaned at least twice a day but unfortunately the women's smelled like sewage, and the shower curtains should be changed. Maybe some air freshener could help. But nice long hot showers and great pressure. Laundry facilities small but worked. The sites are packed in like sardines but are level, clean. Everyone had to park in front of their rigs which makes you spill either onto the street or into your neighbor's space. The dog area was clean. Every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly, helpful, and even had treats for our dog. We walked to the nearby grocery store Smart & Final and felt safe during the day. It's off a busy road but I never noticed traffic noise. Their online pics show a playground but there wasn't one. We camped at Thousand Trails Nevada in a Fifth Wheel.

I could overlook the restrooms, the neighborhood, and the tight spaces if there was a pool and/or clubhouse. However, the pool and clubhouse have been closed for a very, very long time. It looks like repairs have not even started. We ended up leaving and going to another park.

Verizon mifi service is great (40+ mbps) and RV park price is very cheap for members.

We came into Vegas for the airport and I stayed here in early December. VERY DISAPPOINTED. This campground must be getting ignored by corporate. We thought being in a tourist destination TT would put their best foot forward, not. A tree fell on the recreation room about a year ago and they still haven't fixed it. The sites are very narrow and an intoxicated person must have painted the lines in relation to the utilities. It's also nothing more than a RV parking lot.

The guy at the gate has an odd sense of humor but is a really good person. They accepted out mail as well. We were able to catch an Uber to the strip.

Here's some of the campground in this video.

We had an excellent stay at TT Las Vegas. Although the pool, community room were still closed for renovation, we didn't come to this park for camping. We came here as a place to lay our heads after fun filled days/nights in Las Vegas. We don't use this park for its amenities. Staff was helpful in getting checked in and parked. Spaces are tight for larger rigs. 30 amp service at our site with full water and sewer. Walking distance to casinos and entertainment.
Not necessarily a great park for families or kids. Dog runs were clean and were used regularly by campers pets. Each site had a picnic table as well.
What I don't like is NO open fires. Bummer as we like sitting around our portable fire pit at night.
All in all we will stay here again.
No Wifi but we have both Verizon and T Mobil unlimited data and had 4-5 bars on each.

Very tight spaces and we have a 22' trailer. Had to have 2 other renters help me back in as cars are parked in front of there RV's, leaving no space. All three restrooms had major problems at some point of our 4 day stay. With the amount of bookings, the owner surely would have a budget to renovate the restrooms.

I believe Thousand Trails bought this from some other company and is working to fix it up. In the past year (end of 2016 into early 2017) they updated the pool and other areas. Those areas look nice now but they are small. For a park with so many spaces, the pool and activity center do not have a lot of room in them. It seems there are quite a few regulars who stay here and some of the rigs are not too well kept and may be taking up a lot of space.

We were lucky to get in the 50 amp power area (first come first served for 30 or 50 amp power) so that was good and the site we were in was actually quite wide an deep enough. We did have a small problem that it was not a level site and was leaning back enough that we could never quite get level.

The staff was VERY nice, drive around often, almost always at the 24/7 ranger station, and helped when we needed it. We saw them helping others quite a bit as well.

Because we have the Thousand Trails membership this site was a good deal for us and we would stay again - but check in early to get a good site and be ready for some tight corners navigating the park.

Oh, took us about 25-30 minutes to get to south end of the strip or Freemont Street while we were there.

We stayed there last week and to say the least we had a less than stellar stay. We are part of the thousand trails membership program and this was our first time staying with them and we are thinking that we may regret our choices. First experience checking in took over an hour with reservations and was told I might not be able to park my truck on property due to space limitations (we had reservations FYI). Sights were super small so small in fact that our neighbors couldn't put their slides out on one side because they would have hit our Camper. Sewers don't seal or screw in and we had the smell of that for the duration of our stay. When we arrived there was stuff litter all over the place to include sewer elbows from past residents. I also had someone try to pry open one of my under cabin spaces while we were there thank goodness there was no actual theft or ruining of property. Also half the laundry equipment doesn't work so we had to wait to be able to do laundry for long periods of time. Lastly the trash was heaped up on the outside of the canisters and you could smell it throughout the campground. The trash company came one day and only took one canister left the other which was overflowing. I couldn't imagine this if it had been during the heat of summer there.

We have a Thousand Trails membership and that is quite literally the only reason we’d ever stay here again (it’s “free”).

THE GOOD
- Every member of their staff was friendly and helpful. This was consistent across the board and we were there for 3 weeks.
- The pool area is really nice and the pool is heated
- Grounds are well kept and clean

THE BAD
- The area surrounding the resort does not feel safe. At all. We heard sirens all the time and even heard gunshots close by one night.
- The spots are so crazy tight, if someone beside you doesn’t park just so, you may not be able to put your slides out.
- The women’s restroom smelled like death. Husband claims the men’s room was fine.:)
- Half of the laundry machines were out of order the entire time we were there.
- The cellular networks in the area must be overloaded. We had serious speed issues on Verizon even though signal was good.
- It’s incredibly noisy. You’re under a flight path to the airport, there are helicopters and sirens at all hours.
- There are no nice walks in the resort. You are staying inside of concrete walls with razor wire. And you don’t dare walk outside of the park.
- There were some seriously rude and cranky guests. I mean folks shouting at each other (and us!) while they were trying to get parked. I’ve never seen so many rude RVers in one place.
