“an old haunted Inn”
Some say that being at the Inn of the Hawke is like staying at a friend’s home, cozy and unpretentious, with a friendly staff that makes you feel at hone. The building was converted from a mansion into an Inn at the turn of the 19th century. It is a traditional tavern, with a great pub downstairs and guest rooms upstairs. Our guest rooms are located on the second and third floors of the original building, which is more than 170 years old. The Inn of the Hawke has six guest rooms, four with private bathrooms. There are queen size beds in the rooms with the baths and double beds in the rooms that share a common bathroom. Legend has it there are quite a few ghosts here. Odd noises and strange occurrences, such as pots and pans may lift off their hooks and crash to the floor. Pictures also are often knocked off of the walls throughout the inn.
