Crane Mountain National Recreation Trail

The Crane Mountain National Recreation Trail, located east of Lakeview, Oregon, is 31 miles in length. It connects into the Fremont National Recreation Trail at the South Fork Crooked Creek Trailhead. The Crane Mountain Trail offers many scenic vistas and diverse environments as it traverses the slopes and summit of rugged Crane Mountain, the highest point in Lake County at 8,357 feet above sea level. Seasonal wildflowers are very abundant in July. The trail is open to hikers, pack stock, and mountain bikes for its whole length and motorized use is permitted on the eight mile segment from Crane Mountain. peak to the Oregon/California state line.
